These are strange times at the minute. Some countries have a full Corona lock down, where as others such as Norway have relaxed rules where the resorts are open. How do pro snowboarders spend their time when they are stuck inside We reached out to the Transform Gloves team to see how they are coping.
Where are you spending your quarantine and how long have you been locked down for?
I've been mostly at my place in Helsinki. We were isolated there from other parts of Finland for like a month. Now the roads are open again so I decided to take a trip up north.
What trips did you have to cancel because of the lock down?
I got back from Japan early March. I got two weeks riding in southern Finland before the lock down. We had trips planned both in Finland and Norway but all of that got cancelled. Mostly bummed about Wappulounas being cancelled :)
Some countries have allowed snowboarding during these times, have you been riding much recently? How has the situation been there?
I haven’t been riding anything after they closed the resorts and borders end of March. Could have gone and hiked Talma of course but felt like that was not the way to go at that point.
How have you been spending your time during the lockdown?
I’ve started the skate season earliest ever, beginning of April so been doing that a lot. Also some training and watching Tiger King of course :)
What is the first thing you will do when life gets back to normal?
I will go get my favourite sushi buffet next to my house. Riding will have to wait until next season.
What were the transform products you were using the most before the lock down started?
Fleece Lounge Pant by far, I love those things :)

Where are you spending your quarantine and how long have you been locked down for?
I am spending my quarantine back home in Oslo. I was locked in for two weeks but now we can go on day trips.
What trips did you have to cancel because of the lock down?
I hadn’t planned any big trips out of country but had to cancel all the trips to resorts in Norway to film Partylaps.
Some countries have allowed snowboarding during these times, have you been riding much recently? How has the situation been there?
Our deal is that we are not allowed to be with more than 5 people in a group and we are not allowed to take any unnecessary risks (not end up in the hospital) so I’ve been riding a couple of times but only mellow stuff.
How have you been spending your time during the lockdown?
Gaming, working out and thinking about life.
What is the first thing you will do when life gets back to normal?
Go party with all the homiest!
What were the Transform products you were using the most before the lock down started?
The b-rage glove of course! Always been my favourite.
If Corona were a snowboard trick, what would it be?
I would call it the couch! You know when the jump sends you out on your back in the air and you are questioning yourself if you’re gonna go for the backflip or just get ready for the impact 😂

Where are you spending your quarantine and how long have you been locked down for?
I’ve been in Laax for a month but since two weeks I moved back to Zurich where I live in the summer. So in total I guess its like 6 or 7 weeks since the lockdown in Switzerland
What trips did you have to cancel because of the lock down?
Right about when everything started I was on a Trip in Sweden & Norway together with some of the Postland guys. It was super weird because nobody really knew how the situation is going to change in the next days… sadly I had to leave earlier. I think I never changed my flights that many times before.
Some countries have allowed snowboarding during these times, have you been riding much recently? How has the situation been there?
All the resorts in Switzerland got closed earlier, but until now you would still be allowed to go touring and stuff. But it didn’t felt right for me to do it since there’s always a chance to get injured and the hospitals have bigger problems these days, so I haven’t been on my board since the last trip.
How have you been spending your time during the lockdown?
In Laax I lived with my friends so we just hung out together, I tried to play the guitar recently, did some paintings and watched a lot of skate and snowboard videos
What is the first thing you will do when life gets back to normal?
Going to the skatepark with my friends

Where are you spending your quarantine and how long have you been locked down for?
I am spending my quarantine in Ruka. Its been now 4 or 5 weeks since the first restrictions. I think I have lost the sense of time 😄What trips did you have to cancel because of the lock down?
I had to cancel some contest trips here in Finland and I also wanted to go to Riksgränsen but I had to abort the mission and the main event Wappulounas was cancelled 🙁

All the Resorts are closed but we still have loads of snow in the slopes and Forest. I have been doing some hiking and riding and building some D.I.Y stuff but avoiding doing it in groups. It is just complicated thing to think about. I feel super lucky to live in a place like this during these times but I don't want to hype it too much because everybody that isn't surrounded by snow and people are asked to stay home and not travel in search of snow for example.How have you been spending your time during the lockdown?
I have been working, hiking, playing guitar and bass, reading, listening music and even knitting woolen socks.What is the first thing you will do when life gets back to normal?Go spend time with my friends!

I’m spending my time back home in Sundsvall for the moment, and we haven’t really had a real lockdown here yet.We have restrictions of course and a social distance to be aware of. But I’ve been able to go snowboarding and be out in the wilderness more then ever so I’m having a good time still.
What trips did you have to cancel because of the lock down?
I had to cancel the last three contests of the season (Czech, Spring Battle and Total fight). And we had to cancel all the camps we planned to have during spring with the Swedish national team.Some countries have allowed snowboarding during these times, have you been riding much recently? Yeah it crazy to see how many boarders there is out there being in way different environments then usually during this time of the year. But we were able to ride all the resorts in Sweden until the 6th of April, and after that it’s been up to your enthusiasm and creativity to go build your own things and hike them.
How have you been spending your time during the lockdown?
To be honest I been cooking and baking a lot haha. Starting the summer workouts/Yoga two month earlier then before. Playing a lot of board games and spending a lot of time with my girlfriend thanks to the Corona.What is the first thing you will do when life gets back to normal?

I’ve been in Helsinki since mid march when this all started and they closed the county border of Helsinki.
What trips did you have to cancel because of the lock down?
All the filming trips for Scandalnavians movie got cancelled due to the border close down of Helsinki and a K2 team trip to the Alps too.Some countries have allowed snowboarding during these times, have you been riding much recently? How has the situation been there?
I’ve only ridden two times during these times. Once we had a little snowfall in Helsinki so we went for a little mini ramp session with Eero. Also a couple days ago, I drove up for this little resort close to Helsinki to do some DIY stuff at a closed resort. It felt amazing to get back on my board and shred with two good friends <3How have you been spending your time during the lockdown?
